31 ‘Wicked Wichita’ Halloween Events to Attend this Weekend

We all know that Halloween is on Tuesday this year, but who says you can’t start celebrating a few days early? Keep reading to find 31 “Wicked Wichita” events to attend starting this Friday, and going all the way until Tuesday. Live music, scavenger hunts, and much more await you on the other side! Friday, October 27th

1. Monster Mash – TITLE Boxing Club East Wichita
Head over to TITLE Boxing Club East Wichita from 5:30 to 8:30 to enjoy their Monster Mash event! The event will have 12 rounds of boxing, a Halloween party, and a costume contest – don’t miss out!

2. Torchlight Tour at the Historical Museum – Wichita Sedgwick County Historical Museum
The Historical Museum will be hosting a flashlight tour courtesy of the Coleman Company. This family fun adventure allows visitors to explore the museum and even go up into the clock tower! The FREE event will go from 6-9 pm Friday night.  

3. Costume Party & Scavenger Hunt – The Douglas
Join The Douglas Friday night for a costume party in their sky lounge, and a spooky scavenger hunt with their bank vaults in the basement. The event will last from 6 to 9 pm so be sure to stop by!

4. Holiday Shopping – The Vintage Rhinestone
Whether you’re shopping for Halloween decor or getting a jump on Thanksgiving and Christmas the newly expanded Vintage Rhinestone is the place to shop!  Open Friday 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday 10-5. 

5. “New Time West” Final Friday- L’image
This week’s #WichitaWednesday featured business, L’image will be hosting their last final Friday of the year from 6 to 9. Stop by the “New Time West” Gallery Bash (in honor of the 150th Chisholm Trail anniversary,) and enjoy some complimentary refreshments and beautiful artwork!

6. HaLloWhiskey! Indoor Drive In Experience – Wheat State Distilling
Head to Wheat State Distilling Friday from 6 pm to midnight & enjoy scary cocktails, concessions, a raffle, and more! $10 entry fee which includes one drink ticket & one raffle ticket – bring your own seating & enjoy Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street!

7. Midnight Screening Rocky Horror Picture Show – Wichita Orpheum
It’s not Halloween without the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture show! It’s just a jump to the left, and then a step to the right to purchase tickets at the box office.  Tickets are $10 general admission, $15 for a ticket AND participation kit! Bar opens at 10:30 show starts at midnight, enjoy!

8. Halloween Bash – Zen Fitness
Snacks, jell-o shots, music, and games – stop by Zen Fitness from 7 pm to 1 am for all of the fun mentioned above. This event is 21+ and BYOB – feel free to bring your favorite Halloween snack as well!

9. Final Friday – The Workroom
Join The Workroom tomorrow for final Friday. Their event will go from 6 to 9 pm and will include live music and Day of the Dead themed artwork from local Wichita artists!

Saturday, October 28th

10. Cookie Decorating: Halloween Cookie Sticks – Cake Stuff
Need tips on decorating your Halloween cookies? Look no further! Register for Cake Stuff’s Cookie Decorating workshop to learn this Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Be sure to call soon so they know exactly how many cookies to make! 

11. Trunker Drunker Treat – The Rail
Kids are welcome to Trunker Treat at Union Station Plaza from 5-7 for free, but at 8 pm the Drunker Treat will begin! Drunker Treat will have a DJ, beer garden, costume contest, haunted house and much more. $5 cover charge for 21+, and $10 for ages 18-20.

12. Marine Corp Pull Up Challenge – Complete Nutrition
Head over to Complete Nutrition in New Market Square on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday. Complete Nutrition ICT has teamed up with the elite. The Marine Corps will be doing a push up challenge, there will be games, discounts, the Marine Corps truck and family fun. 

13. Angels & Demons Party – XY Bar
XY Bar will be hosting an Angels and Demons party from 10 pm to 2 am this Saturday. Costume contest will take place before midnight, with first place taking home a cash prize! No cover charge, so stop by and have some fun.

14. Pinterest Party Winter Décor – The Colore Studio at Invio
So excited for the holiday season that you’re ready to start decorating? If so, head to The Colore Studio at Invio on Saturday for a pinterest party where you’ll make a winter décor sign! This event will go from 11 am to 4 pm & will include all products, supplies, and lunch for $60.

15. Night of the Thirsty Dead – Aero Plains Brewing
Join Aero Plains for a night of drinking, fun costumes, music, and food. The Erin Alan Project will play from 5 to 8, DJ E will spin the tunes from 9 to midnight, LumpiaPalooza will be there to satisfy your cravings from 5 to 10, and the costume contest (with cash prizes) is at 9 – you won’t want to miss all this!

16. Fall Festival – Prairie Hill Vineyard at Stockemer Farm
Prairie Hill will be hosting their 1st annual fall festival from 5 to 10 this Saturday. There will be contests, food, apple bobbing, and face painting just to name a few activities. Bring the kids and enjoy a fun evening on the farm!

17. Trick or Treat at the Ballpark – City of Wichita Park & Recreation and Wichita Wingnuts
Bring the kids for this fun event at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. You’ll be able to trick or treat and meet Barry the Bison and Spinner. Be sure to bring a flashlight for the outfield candy hunt starting at 8 pm! Free for ages 5 – 12.

18. Halloween Costume Party – Loft at River City
River City will be hosting their annual Halloween party this Saturday from 7 pm to 2 am. There will be a costume contest, live music, and tons of drink specials! This event is for 21+ and has a $5 cover starting at 7 pm.

19. 2nd Annual Cars and Costumes Car Show – Subaru of Wichita & Best Body Shop
Cars, costumes, and candy – what more could you ask for? This Saturday from 5 to 10 at Best Body Shop you can enjoy free food and drinks, give aways, a live DJ, and more! There will even be goodie bags for the kids and a chance to win Foo Fighter tickets. Entry is FREE and kids are welcome.

20. Live Music – The Elbow Room
Stop by The Elbow Room for a spooky rock show this Saturday from 8 pm to 1 am. Enjoy great music from artists T.R.O.Y., Contagious Wednesday, and FIST!

21. 2017 Doggie Costume Party & Contest – ICT Pop-Up Urban Park
Think your dog’s got the best Halloween costume of 2017? Head to the Pop- Up Park on Saturday to find out! The event is from 12 to 3 pm, and you’ll be able to enjoy food trucks, music, and much more.

Sunday, October 29th

22. Gnomaste: Beer & Yoga: Halloween Edition – Hopping Gnome Brewing Company
This Sunday from 6 to 7:30, Hopping Gnome is pairing with Hot Asana Yoga Studio for a Halloween edition of Beer & Yoga! Wear your best costume to enter the costume contest, enjoy some beers, and get your yoga on. $15 a person – includes yoga and one beer.

23. Night of the Living Drag – XY Bar
Stop by XY Bar this Sunday to enjoy the Night of the Living Drag event. This event will begin at 9 pm and go until midnight, so show up and witness both famous and local divas crawling on stage!

24. Food Trucks at the Fountain
Join everyone at the Wichita WaterWalk on Sunday afternoon from 11 am to 2 pm for food trucks, yoga, and live music. Costumes are encouraged and trunk or treating will be available for the kids!

25. Hays, Hooves, and Halloween – Old Cowtown Museum
Bring the family to Cowtown on Sunday for a good time! Enjoy watching the Headless Horseman ride through the streets, see some historic houses, and eat some candy! Admission is $5.

Monday, October 30th

26. Make ICT Halloween Party – Make ICT
Monday from 7 to 10 pm, you can join Make ICT  Makers and guests for some Halloween games like Breakout and Cahoots (like triva). Punch is provided and guests are welcomed to bring fun Halloween-themed snacks. 

27. Trick or Treat – Heartland Play & Stay
Show off your pup’s Halloween costume and go trick or treating with him/her on Monday from 5:30 to 7 at Heartland Play and Stay. There will be lots of toys, treats, and scratches!

28. Trivia Monday: Hocus Pocus Edition – Rain Café and Lounge
If you consider yourself a Halloween movie expert, this is where you’ll want to be on Monday! Join the folks at Rain Café and Lounge for a Hocus Pocus trivia night starting at 7 pm, with drink specials happening all night as well.

Tuesday, October 31st

29. Mall–O–Ween – Towne East
Looking for something to do with the kids on Halloween? Head to Towne East! They’ll be hosting a Mall-O-Ween with trick or treating from 5 to 7 pm. Masks and face paint restricted to children 12 years old and younger, and toy weapons are not allowed.

30. Witch Way to Candy? – Towne West
Towne West will be hosting their own trick or treating event on Halloween, from 5:30 to 7 pm. Bring the kids and dress them up in their best costume – enter the costume contest and they could win one of three prizes!

31. Halloween Night – Rock Island
Rock Island will be hosting the 4th annual Haunted Island and Halloween Party on Monday from 9 pm to 2 am. Enter a costume contest for a chance to win a cash prize, drink some $2 bud lights, and enjoy some good tunes for just $5, or $10 without a costume.
