It’s the first weekend of November, which means that there’s lots of fun events to help us ring in the new month and upcoming holiday season! Whether you want to spend your weekend eating delicious pizza, shopping for gifts, or enjoying the art around town, we’ve got something for everyone. Keep reading to check out 10 fun events for the first weekend of November!

ICT Pizza Fest 2017 | A Slice of Wichita Enjoy a full day of fun, good company, and everyone’s favorite food – PIZZA! The ICT Pizza Fest will be this Saturday from 12 to 5 pm at Wichita Area Technical College Campus just north of Jabara Airport. Some of Wichita’s favorite pizza places will be there, selling pizza for just $1 per slice. Attendees can enjoy fun music, activities, beer, and view some cool planes as well! There are four different ticket options – GA (admits 1) for $10, Family/Friend Bundle (admits 3) for $25, VIP (admits 1) for $50, and day-of tickets (based off of capacity, ONLY 3,000 total tickets will be sold) for $15. ICT Pizza Fest is a cash only, kid-friendly, non-smoking, and handicap accessible event. They also request that only service dogs are brought to the venue. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to enjoy pizza, planes, and beer with fellow Wichitans!

Blood Orchard Vintage Market & Southside Food Truck Rally Head to South Wichita for shopping, food, and good vibes this Saturday! The Blood Orchard Vintage Market will begin at 9 am and go until 4 pm. This vintage market will give you an opportunity to stock up on all things vintage, rustic, and more. Shop ‘til you drop, then head to the Southside Food Truck Rally to eat some food and re-energize! There will be 7 different food trucks to choose from, along with a car show to enjoy while you eat. Food trucks will be on location from 11 am to 3 pm, with the exception of Sunflower Espresso Wichita, which will be there at 9 am. Stop by Blood Orchards this weekend to eat and shop local!

Wine & Tapas If you love wine and snacks, be sure to keep reading! Tomorrow from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Prairie Hill Vineyard at Stockemer Farm there will be a wine and tapas event with executive chef, Jason Febres. Jason Febres is a 4-time Celebrity Chef champion, Iron Chef Wichita champion, and has even been on multiple Food Network TV shows. There will be many different foods to pair with your wine, including mini Cubans and peach crumble cheesecake shooters, to name a few. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. This event is RSVP only, so be sure to call ASAP. Plan a date night, get dressed up, and enjoy some wine & tapas tomorrow!

Is CBD for you? CBD has been on the rise recently and receiving a lot of attention for it’s popularity. If you’re not sure what it is, this is the perfect event for you! Join the New Age Center on Saturday from 12 to 1 pm for an informative presentation on all things medical, therapeutic, and health-related with CBD. Dr. Kati Spletter will be presenting on all of the must-know facts. She will even be demonstrating muscle testing, which tells you if your body responds positively to CBD, or if you’re allergic to it. If you’re looking for an opportunity to know more about a widely popular product, be sure to stop by!

Douglas Design District Art Mural Walk Looking for an excuse to see all of the beautiful murals in the Douglas Design District? Well, we’ve got the perfect one for you! The Douglas Design District Art Mural Walk is Saturday from 2 to 5 pm and will begin in Clifton Square. The group will explore the nearby murals on foot, and will explore the murals further down by taking the Q-Line trolley to Douglas and Grove. The best part is that the Q-Line runs every 10 minutes, so you can stay as long as you please, or leave if you have other obligations. After it’s all said and done, join everyone back at Ziggy’s for some delicious pizza!

Cookie Decorating: Autumn Is In The Air If you want your Thanksgiving cookies to be the best at the table this year, be sure to head to Cake Stuff this Saturday at 2 pm! They will be hosting an Autumn Is In The Air cookie-decorating workshop. You can either bring your own supplies, or sign up to use theirs, but they bring the cookies. This event is only 2 hours, so it will end at 4. Why not stop by for an afternoon of fun learning and delicious cookies? Even if you can’t make it to this workshop, be sure to come to another one. There are workshops every Saturday, so attend one while the fall season is upon us!

End of the Year Gala Enjoy some fun and talented performers at A Step Ahead Dance Studio on Sunday from 5:30 to 10 pm. The End of the Year Gala will not only have lots of performances, but open dancing as well. So if you think you’ve got the skills, don’t be afraid to show off! The doors will open at 5:30, dinner will be served at 6, and show time is at 6:45. Tickets are $35 for adults, and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets must be paid for in advance, so be sure to call soon. Enjoy a night of good food and even greater performances this Sunday at A Step Ahead Dance Studio!

Wichita State Daughter Day Bring your ``princess(es)`` to Charles Kocha Arena for the Wichita State Volleyball game on Sunday afternoon and enjoy a daughter day at Wichita State! The game begins at 12 pm and will end around 3 pm. Admission is free to children 12 and under. Did we mention they’d be able to meet all of their favorite princesses too? Yep – you heard us right. Have a fun afternoon meeting Belle, Cinderella, and others this Sunday. Doors open at 11 so be sure to get there early, say hi, and take pictures!

Wichita Thunder vs Utah Grizzlies’ This Sunday, the Wichita Thunder will take on the Utah Grizzlies. However before that begins, the Air Force will take on the USMC hockey team from 2-3 pm! Active military get in free, so Stop in and cheer on the teams! After the USMC vs AF game, veterans are invited to attend Veterans Night at the Wichita Thunder game. Special pricing is available and Veterans will be recognized, so don’t forget to stay and enjoy that as well!

Opening Day: Old Town Farmer’s Market at Distillery 244 Join Distillery 244 this Sunday (yes, Sunday) for the opening day of the new INDOOR Old Town Farmers Market! This event will take place on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, and will offer attendees a variety of products to buy. Local farmers will be selling fresh crops, and there will also be a variety of baked good and meats to check out. This is also a good place to check out for some early Christmas shopping, as there will be handmade and artisan goods from local crafters. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to shop and enjoy a good cocktail while you’re at it!
