Gas prices are high in California. One town, Gorda on the Central Coast, has some of the highest prices in the country. The only gas station there is charging $7.59 for regular unleaded gasoline. Premium gasoline costs nearly $8.50–a lot!

U.S. health advisers said Thursday that some Americans who received Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago should get a half-dose booster to rev up protection against the coronavirus. The panel of outside advisers to the Food and Drug Administration voted unanimously to recommend a booster shot for seniors, as well as younger adults with other health problems, jobs or living situations where they may be more exposed to the virus.

Shoplifting is up in New York City by about 6,000 cases compared to all of last year. However, Brown who is running for New York City Council in District-17 fears this wave of petty crime will drive more major chain stores out of the Bronx.

Prices have been increasing more frequently in recent months. “The government released that prices over the past 12 months have increased 5.4% and that marks the fifth month in a row of over 5% price increases,” Boston University Questrom School of Business professor Jay Zagorsky explained. “That means that roughly every 14 or 15 years, all prices double.”
