October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – and Garvey Center is looking to promote local cancer research. We will match and donate a portion of proceeds from artist sales to a local breast cancer organization or non-profit. Not only can you purchase beautiful local art, you’ll be helping breast cancer research locally. Join us to support these organizations!
BREAST CANCER ORGANIZATIONS
Witness Project of Kansas – provides breast health awareness resources and outreach to women in Kansas
Victory in the Valley, Inc. – encourages cancer patients and families on their journey by offering emotional and spiritual support, while providing practical services to improve the quality of their lives
The Healing Chair – Wichita – provides lift chairs at no cost to breast cancer double mastectomy patients, which helps with upper body support and comfort as patients sleep and stand.
Bill Goffrier Studio will also generously be donating and raffling off a painting from his Wichita-themed series called Authenti-City to benefit Victory in the Valley, Inc. Come purchase your ticket to benefit the local breast cancer awareness organization and win a beautiful piece of art!
Join us in support of local art and local organizations for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. As always, we have FREE parking in our open lot behind the Garvey Center. Or take the Q Line to stop at our front entrance on Douglas!
