“I am a mother of 4. I paint things. People are my inspiration. I have a thing with faces. Painting people solidifies them in my memory. Blessed with a vivid imagination, I have found that changing my perception can created shifts in my external reality. I’m trying to learn from the reality presented to me. The act of painting, creation itself. I manifest my reality. In art and in life. In my explorations of the abstract, I like to imagine the subtle, the ethereal. When boundaries blur, where does one entity end, and another begin? I play with lights and darks and experiment with contrast. I work in layers. I adore painting with acrylic. It can be opaque but also transparent depending on what I’m needing. It is such a flexible medium.”
