Sensory Friendly Fun

July 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

2nd Sunday of each month
10 – 11:30 a.m.

For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing sensitivities.

You and your child will experience the museum without the noise, crowds or the stimulation of a regular day.

Our staff has worked with local partners to ready the museum. Based on their feedback, lights, exhibits and noise will be adjusted. Trained staff will be on hand to help you.

Noise reduction headphones will also be available, as well as a calming area – located in Discovery Room B, near Kansas in Miniature.

Please be aware of the following areas in the museum. They may be of concern for your child.
– Inside Kansas Kids Connect: Every Drop Counts, Seed to Sun
– Exploring Flight and Design
– KEVA: Build Your Mind
– Grand Hall

Presented in partnership with Heartspring.

Included in general musuem admission, free for members.
