The first in our Sunday winter lecture series:
Presented by Keith Wondra, Assitant Curator at Old Cowtown Museum.
In the 19th century town promoters believed to succeed their town needed five initial institutions; a post office, a saloon, a promotional newspaper, a railroad, and a hotel. Keith Wondra, assistant curator, will explain the history of hotels in Wichita. Included will be the histories of the Empire House, Occidental Hotel and the Tremont House among others.
